Abstract

The role of deep crust fluids during earthquake activity is reviewed, and some aspects to be urgently studied are proposed. A lot of data indicate that lithosphere is a fluid bearing system in which most of earthquake occurred. The phase change, migration of fluids and fluid rock interaction have the important effects on focal medium and tectonic activity. The following subjects would be further studied: ①the heterogeneity of fluids in lithosphere, ②the existing forms and geochemical mechanism of fluids,③migration mechanism of fluid,④the experiment and digital modelling on interference among fluid, stress and geothermal field,⑤the role of fluid in double force couple and other earthqake generation,⑥the relationship between fluid activity and telluric electromagnetic varieties,⑦mechanism of earthquake wave emission of facies exchange in the deep crust,⑧fluid rock interaction effects on dynamic features of the focal medium,⑨multiple monitoring of seismic measurement, fluid, gravity, tilt, geothermics and telluric electromagnetism.
