Abstract

A review of recent researches on the tropical-extratropical interaction characteristics is made in this paper. It contains three parts:①The influence of extratropical disturbance system on the tropical zone;②Studies of the tropical atmosphere; and ③ The influence of tropical disturbance on the extratropical zone.
The results of diagnostic analyses, theories and numerical experiments of the tropical –extratropical interaction studies are included in this paper.
