SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF FORESTRY IN CHINA AND ITS KEY SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS

The strategy of sustainable development of forestry in China and the key scientific problems for approaching sustainable development were discussed in this paper with a brief introduction and analysis of the dynamic conditions and problems of forest resources in China.In the part of sustainable development strategy, the prerequisite for its approach,its targets, guiding principles and six countermeasures were fully elaborated.In the part of key scientific problems, those key scientific problems that should be solved in the fields of forest environmental functions,forest productive functions,genetic improvement of trees, forest protections and forest resources management were listed for reference in related research planning.
