CyberInfrastructure (CI) strategic plan is the important component of the Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) program. Under the support of National Science Fundation(NSF) and based on the Core Scientific Program-Integrated Scientific Program for Society and Environment for LTER in the four key fields of the program,i.e.:(1) Multi-site/Network Experiments, exports from multiple applications (2) Data Integration, (3) Modeling, and (4) System Architecture and Human Resources, exports from multiple filds made systematic analysis of the current situation and challenges concerning LTER CyberInfrastructure. They advanced a series of Infrastructure activities and output in sites, network offices and networks for the CI construction in the future. This also provides inspiration for the program and development of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network(CERN) and other LongTerm Ecological Research Network in the world.
