A BALLOON MEASUREMENT OF THE OZONE VERTICAL DISTRIBUTION OVER LAHSA

Abstract  

The ozone vertical distribution in the atmosphere over Lahsa was measured in August and October of 1998 with an ozone sonde, which also was compared with the result over Xianghe in Hebei province. The typical ozone profile showed that the ozone concentration in troposphere over Lahsa was lower, the maximum of ozone partial pressure appeared between 25~26 km and the maximum of ozone mixing ratio appeared between 30~34 km. The total ozone amount deduced from typical profile is 261.6 DU.
