A large number of landslides, collapse, mudslides and other geological disasters were induced in the “5.12” earthquake affected zone in Sichuan province, which make people′s lives and property cause the heavy losses. After the earthquake, there is a long period of aftershocks, combined with a large rainfall, so geological disasters will further deteriorate. With ground survey method it  is difficult to meet the requirements, especially difficult to meet timeliness. With combined results of multiple source of  remote sensing data interpretation, and determining the geological hazard assessment index system and distribution analysis and geological hazards assessment on Qingchuan and Pingwu county by mathematical method and GIS technology, it is possible to improve the timeliness of data processing. The research on disaster risk assessments and post-disaster reconstruction, especially in mountain valleys in earthquake prone areas of disaster prevention and mitigation, possesses the reference.
