WANG Zhan-qi,WEI Min. THE STATUS AND PROSPECT OF RESEARCH ON MANUAL MINERAL DEPOSITS IN THE WORLD[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 2001, 16(2): 235-237.

The manual mineral deposits are the gangues and tailings which can be re used. In pace with high grade ores reduced, development of low grade ores, gangues and tailings becomes more and more important. At present, the multipurpose use of gangues and tailings retrieved useful elements and material transferred at home and abroad. Biogeotechnology of metal and other advanced mineral processing technology crafts used to retrieve copper and gold from low grade tailings which contain copper and gold. Cement, ceramics , glass and other new materials were made from the tailings which aren’t retrieved. The useful elements of iron, copper, gold were retrieved from tailings by gravity concentration, magnetic separation, froth flotation and chemistry of metal, bricks, concrete, ceramics and other building materials were made from tailings at home.
