The submission and reception of proposals to the Division of Geography of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2020 were introduced. Based on the analysis of the proposal reviews and grant funding processes in 2020，a summary of proposal submission and peer review was reported. In addition， a brief introduction to the projects completed at the end of 2019 was provided.
