CHEN Zeng-qiang,HU Rui-hua,LIU Li-song. APPLYING PROSPECTS OF CHINA CRUSTAL MOVEMENT OBSERVING NETWORK FOR EARTH SCIENCE[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 2000, 15(4): 421-425.
The outline of Crustal Movement Observing Network in China is briefly introducted and its important applying prospects for study of Earth science are described. Its main contributions to Earth science are:①To play an important role in monitoring crustal movements in China continent and to provide quantitative data for earthquake prediction;②To provide important basic data for studying geodynamics;③Establishing ITRF,monioring Earth rotation, polar motion and natation;④Optimizing and densifing nation-wide geodetic network and geoid;⑤Offering a new way to study meteorology;⑥Providing a new method for researching ionosphere;⑦Giving high accuracy and near real time GPS orbit parameters;⑧Providing a base for wide area differential positioning.
