Hsu Houtze,Sun Heping. PROGRESS STATUS OF THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON TIDAL GRAVITY IN CHINA[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 1998, 13(5): 415-422.

The corresponding research successes in the field of the tidal gravity obtained in China are summarized, they include: ①large amount of observations are accumulated from the international cooperative measurements and from the first hand station observations; ②the Wuhan international tidal fundamental station and independent calibration system are established; ③the theoretical tidal models are developed using a special small parameters perturbation method; ④the tidal potential development is carried out using computer algorithm; ⑤the new preprocessing method to study the variable characteristics of the tidal gravity are developed and the new filters are established using wavelet analysis method; ⑥the far-near region combination method and the atmospheric gravity Greens function are proposed to calculate the oceanic loading effect and the effect of the pressure on gravity;⑦ the parameters of the nearly diurnal free wobble of the Earth are determined;⑧ the application of the tidal gravity on the study of the earthquakes, gravity and space geodetics; ⑨the feedback system is installed on the gravimeters; ⑩the phase delay of the LCR instruments and the calibration factor of the superconducting gravimeter are determined accurately. The research prospects of the tidal gravity in the new future in China are also discussed in the paper.
