Main Tasks
Monthly Journal of Advances in Earth Science is dedicated to reviewing the latest progress in domestic and international Earth science research. It introduces the development trends in major interdisciplinary fields such as global change research and sustainable development research. It also reports the latest information in emerging and cross-disciplinary fields, promotes the application of high technologies in earth sciences, and fosters the development of earth science and resource environment research. The journal introduces the topic intentions of the National Natural Science Fund projects, publishes the review situations of the National Natural Science Fund earth science projects, and publicizes the latest research results and progress in the earth science field, including the National Key R & D Plan projects and the National Natural Science Fund projects.
Manuscript Requirements and Submission Notes
1. Manuscripts should have scientific and innovative qualities. Review articles should especially focus on timeliness and present unique insights and foresight. The journal does not publish popular science works, experimental reports, or book reports.
2. If the manuscript involves national confidentiality issues, the author should provide proof of confidentiality review from their organization. Maps must use the standard maps released by the Standard Map Service System of the Ministry of Natural Resources (URL: http://bzdt.ch.mnr.gov.cn/ ) and indicate the map review number. Any modification to the original map requires re-review.
3. Manuscripts should have clear viewpoints, prominent themes, and reliable data and materials. References should be concise. When citing others' literature, materials, and data, a list of references (from publicly published works) must be provided. Internal materials and data should be treated as footnotes.
4. The abstract should reflect the core content of the paper and be written as a report-style abstract whenever possible. It should include the research purpose, viewpoints, methods, and conclusions, and be self-contained and independent. The English abstract should be a report/instructional abstract, striving to reflect the main research methods and core content of the article, and should occupy about 2/3 of an A4 page.
5. The units of measurement in the text should use the legal units of measurement in the country and be indicated with unit symbols. Abandoned units of measurement should be converted to legal units of measurement.
6. The charts and graphs in the text should be self-explanatory. The figures should be simple and clear. The text, symbols, coordinates, and units in the figures must be clearly labeled and consistent with the main text. Charts and graphs should be placed in the corresponding positions in the article and given corresponding Chinese and English titles.
7. Only related fund-supported projects should be noted in the footnote on the first page, with no more than two items. The category, name, and number of the project should be indicated.
8. Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's website (http://www.adearth.ac.cn).
9. Manuscripts must provide a brief introduction of the author, including name, year of birth, gender, place of origin, title, main research work, and contact information such as email and phone number.
10. In accordance with the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and relevant national standards, all levels of headings and numbers in the text should be written flush left. The numbering should be in the form of 1; 1.1; 1.1.1; 2; 2.1, etc. Generally, the hierarchy of headings is three levels, with a maximum of four levels.
11. In accordance with the provisions of GB/T 7714-2005 "Rules for the Compilation of References", the references of this journal adopt the "sequential coding system". Only the most important references should be listed (unpublished works should not be cited; if citation is necessary, please use footnotes for annotation), and they should be coded in the order of appearance in the article. The sequence number should be placed in square brackets at the upper right corner of the cited literature. To strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, the sources of all cited literature, data, and charts in the text should be indicated.
Manuscript Agreement
1. Please do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals. The editorial department will decide whether to publish the manuscript within three months from the date of receipt. Once the manuscript is accepted, the corresponding publication fee will be charged, and a modest remuneration will be paid (no review fee for invited manuscripts). Several copies of the Monthly Journal of Advances in Earth Sciences and 10 offprints will be gifted to the author.
2. The author is responsible for the content. The editorial department has the right to make technical and textual modifications to the manuscript. Substantial content changes require the author's consent. If the author does not agree to the modifications, please indicate this.
3. In addition to the printed version, Monthly Journal of Advances in Earth Science is also included in the Chinese Academic Journals (CD Edition), China Journal Net, Wanfang Data (China Info) System of Science and Technology Journals, Chinese Science and Technology Journals Database, Taiwan Chinese Electronic Journals Service - CEPS, etc. Please be informed. After the manuscript is accepted, the journal will pay the author a lump-sum remuneration and transfer fee.
4. For articles with multiple authors, please have each author sign separately on another sheet of paper.
