As a kind of abnormal gas accumulation, deep basin gas is trapped in the particular geological conditions and has particular reservoir forming principle and distributed regularity. This paper,based on previous study of deep basin gas, concluded the characteristics of deep basin gas, the reservoir forming conditions, the reservoir forming principle, the reservoir forming patterns and the distributed regularity. The posing of the conception of deep basin gas provided a wide sphere and a new idea for searching for gas and oil. In the end, it is noted that in our country there are a wide realm and a bright prospect in the exploration of deep basin gas accumulation.
