Environmental justice is an important aspect to achieve social harmony and sustainable development. It means that human society should realize both intra-generational and inter-generational equities about resources consumption and the ecological health. The core of environmental equity is to give priority to considering the group being in a current hobble. In essence, it means that everyone has a healthy environment and equitably shares the earth′s resources. The theory of environmental equity was investigated from both intra-generational and inter-generational aspects in this paper. And a systematic review of achievements both domestic and abroad was presented from three aspects, which are the environmental quality equity, resource environmental equity and equitable evaluation method. In addition, the shortcomings of current researches were also analyzed. Finally, the prior directions on how to resolve the problem of environmental equity were pointed out.
