The karst ecosystem isa fragile ecosystem . Ba sed on the analysis of the type and number of soil microorganisms ， activities of soil enzymes ， and plant com m unity structure and its diversi ty in typical karst ecosys-tems ， the m ain biologically m icrocosm ic and m acros copical indexes ， such as soil microorganisms ， soilenzymes ，plant com m unity structure and its diversity ， are putforward in the lightofbiologicalappr oach ofecologicalrestora-tion to evaluate scientifically the fragilit y ofkarst ecosystem of Southwest China. Moreo ver ， som e reasonable m eas-ures on the harnessing ofkarst eco- environm e ntwere putforward based on the characteristi cs offragile karst ecosys-
tem in Southwest China.
