Yin’e Basin, which evoluted from the Mesozoic intra-plate pull-apart depressions, locates in the suture zone of four plates and composed of a series of individual Jurassic- Cretaceous lacustrine basins, developed a typical Jurassic and Cretaceous petroleum supersystem. Study shows that the Jurassic supersystem(mainly middle and lower Jurassic), which is relatively limited in range and poor in coal source-rock and generation-reservoir-seal formation, is overlain by the lower Cretaceous supersystem and has prospecting of oil and gas,and that while as far as the Cretaceous supersystem(mainly lower Cretaceous)is concerned, its extension is basin-wide and it is rich in lacustrine source-rock and generation-reservoir-seal formation, the depressions with overlying formation of lower Tertiary and upper Cretaceous are especially favorable in prospecting. The most favorable prospecting area of lower Cretaceous petroleum supersystem located in the slope of single-faulted depression with deep covering and proper overlying.
