This paper is focused on synoptic introduction to Meteorological Action Program under China's Agenda for 21st Century. The background for the formulation of Meteorological Action Program under China's Agenda for 21st Century as well as the objectives and significance in setting up the action program are encapsulated firstly. Then the substance of the Meteorological Action Program under China's Agenda for 21st Century is summarized, which includes over all strategy and countermeasures for sustainable development of meteorology, meteorological disasters prevention and mitigation, protection of climate and atmospheric environment, conservation and sustainable use of climate resources, local weathermodification, research and education, policies and legislation, public participation and international cooperation etc.
