Environmental acidification is one of the vital problem in global change. Soil acidification is a major field of environmental acidification. This paper summarizes the advance in study on soil acidification, the concept of soil acidification and expressing methods, the research methods, sensitivity of soil acidification, and the relation of the soil acidifation and elements leaching, etc. We also suggest the research trend for soil acidification.
