Marine ecosystem dynamical modelling and simulation study is one of the most important research fields of the marine ecology. Based on the latest research from home and abroad，this paper introduces synthetically the aim of the simulation study,nonlinearly dynamic characteristics of the marine ecosystem and the rules to be obeyed in creating the models,as well as classification，structure features and research advances of the models.  Among them，discussed in more detail are the models of coastal sea and estuarine area.
