Jiang Maosheng, Sha Qing’an. RESEARCH ADVANCES IN THE MIXED SILICICLASTIC-CARBONATE SEDIMENTARY SYSTEMS[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 1995, 10(6): 551-554.

Mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sedimentation is interbeds of siliciclastic and carbonate rock with high-frequency or Mixed rock with both siliciclastic and carbonate components. This paper discussed research significance of mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sedimentary systems, reviewed present reseach situations and achievements since 1980s, proved that sea level changes are main controlling factors in mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sedimentation, other controlling factors are tectonies, climates, provenances and geological events, and suggested that the study of the mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sedimentary systems should be hased on sedimentary facies and microfacies analysis, sedimentary geochemistry and cathodoluminescence study.
