Gao Heming. A SUMMARY OF RESEARCHES ON PORPHYRY COPPER DEPOSITS[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 1995, 10(1): 40-46.
The main achievements of the genetic relationships between porphyry copper deposits and plate tectonics, tectonic unit, regional structure, long and deep regional fracture and hot point in the mantle are summarized. The most important characteristics of zoning of alteration and mineralization and the primary features of distribution and dips of veins in porphyry copper deposits as well as genetic views for the veins are synthesized. The significant investigations about physico-chemical coditions of rock-forming and ore-forming processes, the sources of ore-forming matter, the major genetic patterns for the deposits and some important aspects which should be studied in detail by complex sciences are show in this article.
