The new achievements in the studies of geology, petrology, mineral chemistry, geochemistry and geodynamics of the eclogites from Dabieshan, Central China, are summaried in this paper. It discusses the coesite - eclogites, metamorphic conditions and PTt path of the various eclogites, origin age and mechanism of the Dabieshan eclogite belt.
