Chen Junyong. THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN GEODESY AND THE FUTURE TASKS FOR CHINESE GEODESISTS[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 1991, 6(5): 25-30.
The development of modern geodesy and the history of geodetic work in china are reviewed. The future tasks, both in theoretical research and practical work, for Chinese geodesists in 90' s are proposed and discussed: The relevelling of second term nationwide 1st order levelling network;to set up nationwide GPS network; The improvement of the resolution and accuracy of gravity field; The establishment of a GPS satellite tracking network; The measurement for the relative vertical displacement of land versus sea surface in the coast zone; The monitoring for the crust deformation Qing-zang plateau.
