The Chinese geoscience transect program is a component part of GGT. It is consists of 11 transects, which cut across main Chinese orogenic zones, great minerogenetic provinces and active seismic zones. Total transect length has reached 21195 km now, 67.4 % in which were already completed. And its rich harvests were obtainned and spoken highly of internal and external geoscientists at the 28th IGC and International Workshop on GGT of East Asia, in April 3-7, 1989 , Beijing.
