In recent years the study of wetland restoration has been paid.The paper gives the definitions of restoration and wetland restoration,and presents the relationship between restoration ecology and wetland restoration, and the recent development of wetland restoration researches is described.Based on ecology principle,three principles are analysed including feasibility, rarity and priority, aesthetics. Restoration objectives are also suggested in the paper. On the basis of the mire,river and riverine wetland,lake,restortion strategies are discussed.Integrating ecological,economic and social considerations, restoration legitimacy is also analysed.Finally the paper discusses the formulation of restoration planning and the monitoring of prerestoratoin and postrestoration.
