The group of the Study Earth' s Deep Interior (SEDI), International Union of Geo-physics and Geodesy (IUGG), proposed a research item entitled the Global Geodynamic Project (GGP). A global observation network is organized by using existed permanent stations equipped with the superconducting gravimeters around the world. Under the GGP, it is planned to develop a continuous observation for the period of 6 years, to normalize the digital collection system, to exchange the raw data and to use the standard data analysising method, in order that the observations can play an important role in study of the Earth' s interiors physics and global geodynamics. In this paper, we will describe briefly the basic situation of the GGP, the research contents and the main executive points. Considering the real condition in China, the policy for participating in the GGP and the main scientific problems to solve are introduced.
