The author puts forward the concept of multi-phase-sboundary layers(MPBL) system and holds that that is the research object of contemporary earth system science. Accordingly, the author probes into three kinds of compound-sphere self-organization in MPBL system and gives an integrated structural model of MPBL system that can be regarded as basic guiding principles of recognizing global environmental change. To research global environmental change on two time scales(n×10³a-n×10⁵a, n×10a-n×10²a) more thoroughly, the author makes improvement to the models of global environmental change on two time scales.
