Wang Ji-an. GEOTHERMAL STUDIES ON OIL—GAS RESOURCES[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 1992, 7(3): 15-.

Geothermal condition is one of the main controlling factor for hydrocarbon occurence and their evolution. This is the essential basis that geothermal studies can be used as a effective method to evaluate and forecast the oil-gas resources.
Since geothermaltechnique was introduced into oil一gas research domain, systematic studise of geotemperature,palaeo-geotemperature,terrestrial heat flow and thermal evolution history of oil-gas district and combined with other geological conditions of oil-gas genesis have manifested their significanoe in oil-gas resources assessment and prediction.  It is great progression of oil-gas studies as well.We may well say, geothermal method have broad prospects in oil-gas resources studies.
