In this paper，firstly，a review of the advances in Qinghai-Xizang plateau meteorology research has been made，which reviews the major progresses in Qinghai-Xizang plateau meteorology for recent 50 years at home and abroad from the fourfold:the plateau synoptics，plateau climatology，general circulation of atmosphere over the plateau and its neighbourhood，plateau numerical prediction and simulation. Then，some suggestions and remarks on the Qinghai-Xizang plateau meteorology research have been given as well.
