Deng Yunshan, Meng Zifang. THE ROLE OF TECTONIC STRESS IN GENERATION AND GATHER OF OIL GAS[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 1996, 11(4): 362-366.

The study on relation of tectonic stress and generation of oil gas is one of recently research contents, because tectonic stress is one of the most active energy resource. The energy produced by it has been proved by the various deformation of rock stratum in crust. The principles of tectonic stress producing thermal energy is well known. On the one hand tectonic stress provide energy for hydrocarbon generation system in the thermal evolution and transformation process of organic matter (In short periods, tectonic stress can make organic matter transform fastly to hydrocarbon and increase the transformation rate of organic matter). On the other hand tectonic stress make stratigraphy produce microcrack and make rock physical behaviour and chemical behaviour change at the same time. In fact, the change of stress state easily form microcrack which become open or close along with the periodic tectonization and the fluid in rock occur to move as changing of stratigraphy pressure, the pressure difference will be produced in short time because the various stress state of internal stratigrahy is changed. It can control all kinds of resistance (adhesion and capillary pressure, etc.) so that it make oil gas movement.
