The text put foward branch disciplines for the speciality ranges of the sciences of salt lakes, and discusses the problems in the earth sciences of salt lakes, such as ①the evolution process of salting environment of the continent basin of the salt lakes; ②the natural stochestic continuous evolution of the brine of salt lakes; ③the material current of the sediment of salt lakes and the expand event of the lakes develop cycle; ④the develop of salt lakes and global change. This text mirrors the new research progress and the broad developmental direction of the earth sciences realm of salt lakes.
