YUAN Yanbin, HAN Zhijun, LIU Gang, WANG Xinqing. THE FIELD SPATIAL DATA RAPID COLLECTION TECHNOLOGY IN 1∶50 000 REGIONAL GEOLOGICAL SURVEY BASED ON GIS[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 2000, 15(3): 348-352.

The advantage of GIS technology in combining multi-sources geoscience information is used in the important aspect of regional geological survey-field spatial data collection. With reference to the process of 1:50,000 regional geological survey in China and its data collection characteristics and with adoption of system engineering in“Field Spatial Data Collection Sub-System”, MapGis and ArcView which are the tool-type geological information system software are applied and re-developed. The authors research the following aspects of field data collection: standardization, data dictionary, positioning of geological observation point, integrated collection of attribute and spatial data, sketch drawing, and initially realize the visualized rapid collection of 1:50,000 regional field data, which has been successfully applied in experimental area.
