On the bases of wide field investigation and laboratory analyses, especially on the research of the type, distribution and characterestics of palaeo-eolian sand, arthores have made a lot of progresses in the aspects of the formation time, evolution pattern, nature, sedimental environment and the formation causea of deserts, North China, in last decade, so did the causes and the control of desertification etc.At present, however, our primary research work must be opened up and raised in the future.
