Huang Tinglin, Chai Beibei. Advances in the Study of Controlling Mechanics and Technology for Source Water Reservoir Quality[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 2009, 24(6): 588-596.

Source water reservoir plays an important role in urban water supply, and the eutrophication and other water quality problems are increasingly serious in recent years. The controlling mechanics and technology for source water reservoir quality becomes a hot research topic. In this paper, the advances in the study of water quality problems of source water reservoir are reviewed. The investigation methodology and conclusion on endogenous pollution, high-intensity pollution of emergency and periodicity are introduced, and the rationality of these investigations is discussed. Main water quality restoration techniques are presented and compared, including the technique of mixing aeration, water-lifting aeration, the bio-removing method of the nitrogen, phosphorus and organic matter in the superjacent waters and the restoration method of polluted sediment. At last, the problems and attentions in the relative research are analyzed and the priority research area and tendency in the future are proposed.
