Xin’e Wang, Donghui Xu, Zhifu Sun, Zongfeng Sun, Jingmei Luo. Wireline Logs Analysis and Application of Shandong Gold Resources Scientific Drilling[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 2014, 29(3): 397-403.

Jiaodong region of Shandong is created through multi-stage magmatic activity and metamorphism, which is lacated in a fault zone with frequent tectonic activities and development fracture zones. The area dominated by metamorphic and igneous rocks with complex lithology. The main purpose of scientific drilling in this area is to find pyrite-quartz vein associated with gold. Firstly, some crossplots are constructed to identify the lithology ion. Some rocks such as metagabbro, mixing rock, monzogranite can be distinguished from one another and their logs response characteristics are also summarized. For logs analysis fractures and broken zone, the principal component analysis method is proposed, and the recognition results are proved correctly by the core photos. The aforementioned logs interpretation results about lithology and fractured zone play a more important role and provide a reliable basis for the study of integrated geological information.
