The loess and Nihewan beds are famous for their widedistribution，good continuity，and well-studied，thus being standard quaternary strata for correlation even in the world. Furthermore，the Loess Plateau and the Nihewan Basin are very important areas for ancient human activities. So they not only registered the important information of the history of quaternary palaeoenvironment evolution，but also the history of ancient human activities. In this paper，a correlation between Nihewan beds and loess was made and the Paleolithic sequences in the two areas were listed based on research results done by other researchers.
