JIANG Zhihong, TU Qipu, SHI Neng. ADVANCE IN DIAGNOSIS STUDY OF MUTIDECADAL LOW FREQUENCY VARIABILITY[J]. Advances in Earth Science, 2000, 15(3): 342-347.
Low frequency climate variability with time scales of decades to mutidecades is reviewed in this paper. It was showed that variability on decadal and longer time scales may be considered a natural indicator of low frequency oscillation or the climate base state, as well as modulates ENSO variability on interannual time scale. The further investigation is not only favorable to intensive understanding of climate variabilities, but also important in detecting and attributing anthropogenic climate change.
